Are you looking for fall classroom activities your students will love? These activities teach about fall and are sure to engage your students. Here are some resources you can weave into all of your subject areas.
1. ELA Fall Classroom Activities
When I think about an English/language arts lesson, one of my favorite activities comes to mind: writing prompts. There are SO MANY things you can get your students writing about when it comes to fall. I like to make my prompts errorless so students have the freedom to create their own stories and there are no wrong answers.
Check out this blog post, Writing Prompts for Kids with Pictures, to learn how to best use writing prompts with students who may be emerging or non-readers.
You can download this Fall Writing Prompt now and add it to your fall classroom activities.

2. Fall Read Alouds

- How Many Seeds

- Sweep
- The Scarecrow
- The Very Last Leaf
- The Biggest Pumpkin Ever
- The Lonely Scarecrow
You can save money and get all these in a Fall Read Aloud Bundle. Each book comes with five different activities in print and digital formats.

3. Math Fall Classroom Activities
There are so many things you can count that are fall-themed. You could count acorns, leaves, pine cones, and more.

One thing I really like to do is make things as versatile as possible. I want to be able to use things over and over with many different students who have many different needs. This is especially true if I am going to print something in color, then laminate it AND add Velcro.
I created these free fall counting cards, which you can download by clicking the button below. They are so versatile and can be used in so many different ways. Just take a sneak peek at this short video to learn more, and then download your free set!!
4. Science Fall Classroom Activities
Of course, you will be teaching about Fall in your science block. This is an easy one if you have the right materials. Check out this complete Fall Unit that includes:
- 7 day lesson plan
- Printable and digital activities
- PowerPoint
- Bingo cards
- Scavenger hunt

5. Social Studies Fall Classroom Activities
This is becoming one of my favorite subjects to explore and research. So, I immediately thought about how I could incorporate fall into my social studies lessons. Geography was the obvious choice!! Some students may not understand the difference between the Northern and Southern Hemispheres.
Completing this coloring sheet will bring the fall season into your social studies block. To make it more tangible, I suggest referencing the maps and globes you commonly use in your classroom.

I hope this has given you some fall classroom activities to add to your lessons.
