I was always reading a novel to my students, regardless of their learning level. Learning to sit while someone is talking is an invaluable skill worth teaching.

This novel study includes various activities that accompany the play Antigone by Sophocles.

The materials were designed to allow students at multiple learning levels to access and engage with lessons from this novel through listening.

Students have numerous opportunities to engage with repeated information as they listen to the story of a brave woman who is willing to die in order to honor the death of her brother.

Finally, many of the activities include multiple versions, suggestions for differentiation, and options for presentation. There are 2-3 activities (14 different activities in total) to accompany each scene, keeping your students engaged as you read this play aloud.
