Planning for the 2020-2021 school year becomes more challenging every day. Just in the past week, I have heard from more teachers learning they are no longer going back to teach face to face, but will be teaching online again. Some teachers are still faced with uncertainty and waiting for a final decision.
As parents and teachers, however, we push on making plans the best we can. Last week, I shared how I prefer to plan on paper rather than use a calendar or spreadsheet on line. I had a free template you could download as well as a calendar I used to plan a year’s worth of social skills lessons. CLICK HERE to read more and grab those free downloads.
This week, I want to share an online option that I am just learning how to use myself, airtable. For now, I only have the free version, so it does limit my ability somewhat to play with different colors and fill options. But, the functionality is great, and I know many of you prefer to work online, so I am sharing the template I developed with you, so that you have a starting point. From this base, you can tweak and make this planning calendar your own.
Below is a video walking you through the template. It seemed the best way to communicate my vision with you. This template also includes:
- my year long social skills calendar with clickable links
- a year long pacing guide for science and social studies I created for a teacher last year
This will give you a good idea of how it will look and function. There is a lot more functionality to airtable, especially if you upgrade to the paid version, but I find this free version very helpful. I use a planning calendar on airtable for one aspect of my business, and it works great. Grab the link below to start customizing your own online planning calendar for the 2020-2021 school year.
This next short video shows you how to take the link and make your own copy that you can start customizing today!!
